Info: Neutral Milk Hotel was an American indie rock band formed by singer, guitarist and songwriter Jeff Mangum in the early 1990s. Later members included Jeremy Barnes (drums), Scott Spillane (horns) and Julian Koster (banjo, bass guitar, musical saw, accordion, synthesizer). The album is full of passionate acoustic-guitar strums, irresistible melodies, and lyrics that rarely feel obtuse even when they're nonsensical. Pitchfork, in a 2005 review, gave the album a perfect score, praising the album's lyrical directness and "kaleidoscopic" musical style. PopMatters named a reissue of the album one of the best of 2005, and wrote, "Aeroplane is a manifesto for a different way of making pop. To hear 'Two-Headed Boy' in 2005 is to realize that Mangum's art is simply superb songwriting. But most of the record adds an ingenious mixture of accordion, brass, organ, fuzzed-out guitars, tape, and other glorious miscellanea."

Qué pedazo de disco has posteado Femme Fatale! hace un tiempo le dediqué una entrada a esta marvilla en mí blog también.Si te gusta esta gente,te recomiendo The Shins,Centro-Matic y un poquito mas relajados Snowglobe que podrás encontrar en mi blog,aunque imagino que ya tendrás algo de todos ellos.

Desde que lo escuché no he tenido la menor duda, y el tiempo no está haciendo más que darme la razón. Este es el mejor disco de la década de los 90, y aunque el tiempo sea el que lo esté consiguiendo, está logrando toda la fama y aclamo merecido.
Hace poco se ha editado la versión en vinilo del disco, y con ella se han destapado un par de actuaciones en directo de la banda, un de un tema de este disco: "Two Headed Boy".
Imprescindible.
